Has NZ ever had a current account surplus?
Not since 1974. Is that a problem? It would be good to get everyone's views on this.
I am not sure if I am on the right track here, but I don't think NZ will ever have a surplus again due to our growing popluation, people living longer and unemployment. Damage around the country caused by naturals disasters and of course globally that then affects exporting... the list goes on
